ABOUT ME
Since I was a child, I have been passionate about filmmaking. At the age of eleven, I
I made my first horror film together with my twin sister Martina. Back then it was on VHS and the editing was done analog. Before I started studying, I made over 70 films of all genres, from comedies to dramas to elaborate stop motion films. I wrote and shot as much as I could.
After graduating from high school and completing various internships on various film sets, I was drawn.
In 2008 I moved to Hamburg. Here I studied film at the Academy of Fine Arts under Wim Wenders and Pepe Danquart. I shot my graduation film in Cuba. This was followed by a master's degree in cinematography at the Hamburg Media School.
In 2015 I shot my debut film, the 90-minute crime comedy VORSTADTROCKER, which was awarded “best TV film” at the 37th Biberach Film Festival. This was followed by the black-humored North German western 13 UHR MITTAGS,
a FRIESLAND crime thriller, ELLA SCHÖN, the feature films TOO FAR AWAY and MY LOTTA LEBEN 2, the psychological thriller "INVISIBLE ENEMY" as well as various series.
Most recently, I was behind the camera for the Netflix series "MURDER MINDFULLY" and the feature film "GIRLS GIRLS".
The film will be released in cinemas on July 3, 2025.
Besides image design, writing is my second great passion.
